Got up, sat with D for a bit and then headed off to pick up pastries and other supplies from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haddieandtrilby.com\">Haddie and Trilby<\/a>. I tried to do some reading, but I&#8217;ve been struggling to finish the book I&#8217;m half-way through &#8211; it just hasn&#8217;t really grabbed me (a sci-fi novel: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nealasher.co.uk\/book\/the-technician\/\">The Technician by Neal Asher<\/a>) and D has suggested I just give up on it &#8211; which has, of course, made me more determined to slog my way through it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I worked on a looping arrangement for a while and helped F do a <a href=\"http:\/\/freyapatelstephens.com\/3-fun-things-to-do-in-quarantine\/\">new page on her website about &#8220;fun activities to do in quarantine&#8221;<\/a> (with an amazing poem she wrote inspired by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IMcMillan\">@IMcMillan<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2020\/apr\/09\/poems-to-get-us-through-carol-ann-duffy-adult-fiction-by-ian-mcmillan\">&#8220;Adult Fiction&#8221; poem<\/a>). Meanwhile B did some homework, and I tried to help him memorise the first twenty elements in the periodic table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately during the day I had some news that I&#8217;m not going to share on here and although it wasn&#8217;t unexpected it was very sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After lunch we went to an online concert on Zoom &#8211; it was part of the Oxford Folk Weekend and we&#8217;d originally intended to go to the live performance &#8211; part of my birthday celebrations. It was the folk due <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gilmoreroberts.co.uk\/\">Gilmore &amp; Robert<\/a>s again (who we also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.meanboyfriend.com\/overdue\/2020\/04\/3rd-april-2020\/\">watched a couple of weeks ago<\/a>).
