This was the first pop up book I remember reading, it&#8217;s wasn&#8217;t part of the general library collection but you had to request it from the librarian who stored to behind her desk. I thought it was fantastic &amp; was always fascinated at how much can be achieved with just paper in creating such engagement &amp; wonder. While I have come across some really innovative pop up books recently there is a nostalgia for this classic I can&#8217;t shake.<br \/>\n<a style=\"margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/41owdDYKKHL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"blogsy-1324937351452.9456\" class=\"clearleft\" src=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/41owdDYKKHL._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-sticker-arrow-click,TopRight,35,-76_AA300_SH20_OU01_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nFollow the Line by Laura Ljungkvist &#8211; I got distracted one day by the Tate museum bookshop online &amp; fell in love with this title. Recently I had the opportunity to flick through the pages &amp; was happy that it lived up to expectation. I can see it opening up so much discussion &amp; opportunities for imagination.<br \/>\n<a style=\"margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tate.org.uk\/shop\/img\/Books\/High-Street\/P44960-15396_4.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"blogsy-1324937351433.1833\" class=\"clearleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tate.org.uk\/shop\/img\/Books\/High-Street\/P44960-15396_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"512\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe High Street by Alice Melvin &#8211; as shopping is one of my favourite pastime this seems the perfect book to share that experience with. The illustrations have a vintage feel &amp; beautiful colour palette that I find really appealing<br \/>\n<a style=\"margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\" href=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51KQcBNOyeL._SL500_AA300_.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"blogsy-1324937351430.1348\" class=\"clearleft\" src=\"http:\/\/ecx.images-amazon.com\/images\/I\/51KQcBNOyeL._SL500_AA300_.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Happy LittleYellow Box by David Carter &#8211; this is such a simple idea but so well executed.
