<description>And that is exactly why I was more than happy to hand the iLiad back when I left. It just isn&#039;t very user friendly and it&#039;s not in colour which was a major let down.
Have fun
Louise

<description>Hi Owen, Damyanti...long time no see.
We are moving to a new purpose built library Summer 2009. We are all very excited about the prospect of a new library, but with it come some challenges. One of those is a &#039;clean desk&#039; policy. This means that there will be no work left on the desk once you leave for the evening. There will also be no waste paper baskets or storage under the desk. You will be encouraged to take waste to a central recycling location and to not print out information that you do not need to store for business reasons.
This decision was a no brainer really… it saves money, keeps the office clean, and reduces waste. However, it is such a departure from what we are used to we are going to have to ease ourselves in gently! :)
Hope to see you both soon (a conference or ExLibris user group meeting no doubt).
Andy
ps. Great Blog by the way!

<description>I compared a couple of free PDF programs a few years a go.
Real basic stuff
http://www.nostuff.org/pdf/
PDF creator was my first choice. As I was looking to put things on the web, I found its prompting for title and other metadata helpful (as this is what shows up in Google etc).
Though Adobe wins when you want to start editing PDFs and doing anything more complex.

<description>CutePDF was simply one I&#039;d heard of, and found quickly via Google.
I&#039;ve now installed PDFCreator (recommended by someone on Twitter as well) and will try them side by side to see which produces better results.

<description>With most GNU/Linux systems, you get PDF creation out of the box too. Why CutePDF instead of PDFCreator, just out of interest?
