		<description>While writing this post I came across another tiling applicaiton. MapTiler is currently in beta test at http://help.maptiler.org/betatest/ with versions for Windows, Mac and Linux. I managed to play with the Windows version very quickly and it looks pretty helpful.

Perhaps most useful in terms of library floorplans is that it has an option to tile images with no geographic reference points, so you can get tiles for your image without worrying about lining them up with the Google Maps (or other maps) tiles. Alongside this it has a lot of options to support overlaying maps on existing mapping systems.

When I get a moment I&#039;ll see if I can get a real world example up and running using this software.</description>
