If so, how do we make them compelling?<\/li>\n<li>Data curation skills<\/li>\n<li>Information literacy &#8211; needs to be embedded into schools<\/li>\n<li>Open content agenda &#8211; sharing of resources &#8211; should this happen, how to enable?<\/li>\n<li>Recruiting staff for JISC projects &#8211; JISC could develop a support mechanism, e.g. pool of CVs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Group 2<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open infrastructure supporting innovation and change &#8211; balance in IT departments between robustness and innovation not always there<\/li>\n<li>Understand institutional barriers to change &#8211; what stops new working practices and new technology<\/li>\n<li>Outsourcing models and shared services<\/li>\n<li>Resource discovery &#8211; single point of entry<\/li>\n<li>Inclusivity &#8211; digital divide agenda<\/li>\n<li>Levels of service &#8211; service standards\/expectiation (Keele wifi experience informing this!)<\/li>\n<li>Burden of technolgoy &#8211; on the academic and support staff<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability of projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Group 3<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advice on staff roles<\/li>\n<li>Denial of service &#8216;as default&#8217; (Keele wifi experience again) &#8211; how can we help people (IT depts) make right decisions<\/li>\n<li>Debate on mobile devices being &#8216;mandatory&#8217; (or &#8216;expected&#8217;) of all students &#8211; we expect them to have &#8216;basics&#8217; in terms of paper and pencil etc. why not computing devices<\/li>\n<li>Setting minimum standards for institutions &#8211; what is the baseline?<\/li>\n<li>Assessment &#8211; assessing educational processes as well as assessing outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Sharing good practice &#8211; becomes harder as the sector becomes more competitive<\/li>\n<li>Perhaps we should play down some areas?
