The THE seems to be on a bit of a library-related story binge at the moment recently we’ve had:
- Phone the Library but don’t expect it to refer to a book
- We can’t let schools become book-free zones
- A Google-eyed view of the world
- Hits and misses
- International students pose challenge to library staff
- Hidden cost of open access
It’s a mixture of coverage, and some of it (especially the last one above), left me feeling quite irritated – but, I think it is brilliant that the issues that librarians and information service providers deal with on a day to day basis are getting such extensive coverage.
I’d also encourage readers to make use of the new comments facility on the online articles to start and inform debate.
